I have been communicating with escorts, through whatsapp, but they keep asking me to pay up front [partial payment] ie £30 or £50 asking me to pay them through paypal, i have no proof of who they are, or where they are entertaining from, only a postcode, is this legal, or a scam, anybody encountered this this procedure before.

Their not doing anything illegal in asking for a deposit upfront for a booking. However it is possible it is a scam and you won't see the money again or get a booking. Having said that not all escorts asking for deposits are scammers, I however personally avoid paying deposits, especially for booking incalls.

As said above. You just have to make a judgement call. If it is someone with a long history of good independent reviews, they they are probably ok. Someone without that though, you have the obvious risk of loosing your money. Think with your brain, not your d!ck when doing this.

From an escorts perspective, a deposit doesn’t automatically indicate a scam but as mentioned, you need to weigh up the risks.. or just find another escort if you’re unsure x

In India, we used to take some initial money in advance, but some girls and scammers started doing this for scams, they will ask you for money in advance and then they will block you. This way people started to trust less, and as a result we now don't ask for any money in advance payment.
