Hi, are gift card requests a scam, as a quick google search raised a few red flags? If it is a scam, how exactly does it work?

Hi Barney
gift card are usually a scam. If the escort has a verified profile and multiple 5 star reviews its likely lower risk.

Thanks, I had escort who first mentioned revolut but when confirming she changed to gift card. I voiced my concerns re a scam and she then wanted me to send money over revolut and she would then tell me address etc.. I apologised that I was no longer interested as my gut feeling was that it was a scam. How exactly does the scam work?

The scam is very simple. With gift cards you buy them and send the card numbers and activation codes over, they spend them and you never get location details. With revolut you send them the money and then get ghosted and blocked. Avoid unless you can either afford to lose the money or know the girl and are 100% sure it's legit.
